Sunrise
Thunderstorms came and went in the dark of the night. This was the view from the east as I went to feed Moe this morning. I thought it was beautiful.

Brenda Photo Challenge - Red
The theme for this weeks Brenda Photo Challenge is RED.
Around here, we love our Farmall Tractors! I have fond memories of Farmalls and earned my very first paycheck driving a red tractor when I was 11 years old! A few years later I meet my husband to be and he grew up on red tractors as well and today we have quite the collection on Farmall tractors.
This is a red cactus that my sweet mother-in-law gave me a few weeks ago.
This cardinal was stunned from his recent crash into our front door and gathered his scenses sitting in the snow. Its hard to believe that we had snow just a few short weeks ago and today the daffodils and some trees are starting to bloom. I hope we don't see any more white stuff for a loooong time!

Happy Birthday Grandmama
Today would have been my sweet Grandmama's 84th birthday. As a kid, we would go visit her and before we went inside we would pick her a bouquet of daffodils from her own yard. It was what my brother and I would give her for her birthday! So simple, but she always got out a cup or mason jar to display her golden flowers in. It's been 9 years since I've been able to give her a fresh bouquet of daffodils and I miss her everyday. The daffodils were a little late to start blooming this year, but just as ever other year of my life, they bloomed in time for Grandmama's birthday.
I love you and miss you so much Grandmama and until we meet again I'll always grow daffodils and think of you.

Garage Sale Find!
Farmall Man got me a Flea Market Garden magazine last week and it is full of wonderful ideas. The cover has a chest of drawers on it with plants billowing out of the drawers. I have been drooling over it and told my friends I wanted one and that I couldn't wait to go garage saling to find one.
Well an hour after saying I wanted one, we went on a flower delivery and there was a big sale next door and I found this for $5.00!!! I'm so excited and can't wait to find a spot in the garden for it!

First daffodil
After an extremely busy Valentine's at the flower shop (i was already getting overtime by 5:00 Monday); today was a wonderful spring like day. My feet got to breath a little and my toes showed off a new coat of hot pink paint, I didn't wear long sleeves, and I got home and found this beautiful daffodil. This can only mean spring time is quickly approaching! Wooohooo!!!

Relieved
Whew…we got lucky…the weatherman was WRONG! So glad this is our "3-5 inches" of snow that was suppose to cover everything and make travel hazardous this afternoon. We just got rain and a little sleet. It's colder than you know what, but at least we don't have to deal with snow!
The weatherman says 60's and 70's in the extended forecast… I hope he's not wrong about that! I'm so ready for SPRING and flowers and sitting out in vintage lawn chairs and sunshine and working on the yard…

Cardinal
We were sitting in the house Saturday morning when the biggest thud hit the front door. It was like one of those windex commercials were the bird flies into the super clean window, except our screen door isn't super clean!
A few seconds later we heard a squawk outside and realized the bird was on the ground, surrounded by our dog Suzy.
Farmall Man rescued the cardinal and set it in the snow covered wheelbarrow. I grabbed my camera and got a few pictures before he overcome his shock and fluttered away.
The snow melted Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately there is more in the forecast for Wednesday.
