I spied a few albino Bluebonnets along the way as well! I took lots of pictures and will be sharing them soon. As I type this, I'm on my iPod and we are headed east towards home.
If you follow me on twitter, you will have seen a few more pictures that I shared from our journey today. Trixie came with us and she has enjoyed the trip. Of course stopping at the DQ for ice cream and rolling the window down to let her get some fresh air makes her a happy dog!
our field is loaded with them this year. i've taken pics but not posted any yet. :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing the bluebonnets, hanging my head out the window, and eating ice cream would make me happy too, LOL! How wonderful that you took the time to go see the glorious display!
ReplyDeleteWe are having a banner year for bluebonnets, aren't we? It's been a long time since I remember one this wonderful - I'm between Wimberley and Blanco, and hope to get out around more of the wildflower trails this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from SNS at FJI (love the gazebo!) - I hope to copy/steal some of your ideas on planting in found containers ... than you for the inspiration!

Bluebonnet fields forever! Can't wait to see the rest of your blueb. pics. Ours are just about gone. I had thought about going to Ennis, but didn't make it. Maybe next year. Although I think our patch was probably was biggest one I saw in our neck of the woods.
