On a recent Sunday drive, I took an out of the way road, because I wanted to see "Daffodil Hill." We drove down this highway last spring, and found this delightful sight of blossoms, so I returned this time with my camera in tow.
.
I have visions of an old home site on this land and a wonderful gardener cultivating and growing the daffodils, although today, no signs of activity are evident. Judging by the gate post above, I would say no animals are on the property and a house or barn are not to be seen, yet the beauty of thousands of daffodils delight travellers in rural Wood County.
I love travelling Texas Highway this time of year and seeing the beautiful flowers cover the road ways.
what a beautiful place! i love the first shot with those old fence posts...
