The month of June, I spent a lot of time at my sewing machine, working on western pillow covers for the National Hereford Women. One of their board members is a local friend and food blogger at The Ranch Kitchen and she coordinated the order for the Hereford ladies. They have a booth at the Jr National Hereford show in Madison, Wisconsin and some of my pillows will be a part of their product line up!
I finished up the pillows last week and was excited with how they all turned out! This first print is called "Sagebrush" and features Hereford cattle being herded by Cowboys and working cow dogs.
Cowboys and Cactus ~ This is a vintage ranch rodeo / western style scene.
We found this antique metal bed frame at a sale last week and Angea and I just had to have it for our fall market displays! Since I was driving the truck that day, it wound up coming home with me. I wanted to photograph the pillows, before I delivered them to Mrs. Alise and and decided to set the bed up in the pasture for my photo shoot.
I made a few extra pillow covers for her to choose from, so now there are a few of these pillows available in my etsy shop. The three vintage cowboy prints (below) are all discontinued - so grab them up now, while they are still available! I can make more of the other styles, just not these three red, white and blue ones.
Home on the range... Long live Cowboys...
A special thank you to the National Hereford Women and Mrs. Alise for ordering the pillow covers from me! I appreciate your support for my small handmade in the USA shop and the opportunity to serve you. Looking forward to a continued partnership with your great organization!
